In the realm of spirit tasting there is much more to take note of than just what meets the tongue. Join Assistant Distiller Nina Shebest on Sunday, March 25 to train your palate with the principles of Sensory Evaluation!

The experience will begin with an introduction to sensory evaluation, flavor profiles and tasting techniques used in the spirits industry. Then put your skills to the ‘test’ with a series of sensory tests and tastings used in product development.

Taste a spirit’s trajectory from local raw ingredients through the process of distillation and aging!

$45 | Each guest will receive a series of tastings, a complimentary cocktail and a One Eight Distilling tasting glass.

 

Gin Week

Gin Week D.C. is a week-long celebration of gin that gathers bars, restaurants and bartenders throughout DC to host Ginworld partner gin brands and create custom cocktails with placement on their menu for the entire week. The week is enhanced by gin centric seminars, tastings, educational sessions and brand events hosted by individual Ginworld partners, taking place at Ginworld partner bars throughout
Washington, D.C.

Leading up to Ginworld Gin Festival will be an entire day featuring educational and hands on seminars on a wide range of gin centric topics. Ginworld partner brands may submit to host seminars on that morning and all will be taught by industry leaders and spirits experts from around the county. The morning seminars are followed by the 2nd Annual Ginworld Gin Festival DC where all participating Ginworld brands will have dedicated space to showcase their gin portfolio to a diverse demographic that is Washington D.C. consumers and industry professionals. Ginworld attendees have the opportunity to have direct engagement with distillers and brand ambassadors, experience multi-level spirits tastings and learn about the wide varieties in the spectrum of gin.
