DONATIONS
One Eight Distilling strongly believes in building connections in our community and in giving back to the community when and where we can. For example, $1 from every bottle of our Ivy City Gin sold in DC goes to Habitat for Humanity’s projects in our Ivy City neighborhood.
We will consider requests for donations of our spirits, merchandise, or for private tours and tastings (as an auction donation). In order to be considered for a donation, you must submit your request at least 30 days in advance. Due to the volume of requests we receive, we will only respond to requests that we have approved. Donations or spirits or merchandise must be picked up by the recipient from our tasting room.
Donation guidelines
We focus our donations on the following areas:
- Education
- Poverty
- Homelessness
- Hunger
- Arts & culture
- Environment
We do not donate to:
- Organizations without 501(c)(3) status
- Private individuals
- Political organizations or campaigns
- Religious activities
- Children’s groups
- Athletes or recreational events
- Organizations or activities outside of our area of distribution – DC and MD
